COURT GRANTS AG MADIGAN’S 30 DAY EXTENSION; CONCEAL CARRY DELAYED TO JULY 9TH

Illinois Review

SPRINGFIELD – Illinois Attorney General Madigan requested an extension for the stay of the unlawful weapons law to delay the June 9th enactment of conceal and carry 30 days, and Tuesday the court granted her request, delaying the court-ordered concealed carry enactment.

The Illinois legislature passed a compromise concealed carry bill to the Governor’s desk during the last week of the 2013 session, and it now sits on Governor Quinn’s desk. The Governor has not revealed whether or not he intends to sign the bill into law.
