Illinois Review –

On Wednesday President Obama is scheduled to make a speech at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois about the economy. This is set to be the first in a series of speech as the President once again pivots to “focus like a laser” on jobs and the economy. It is very likely that President Obame will use his speech at Knox College (a rather liberal liberal arts college) to continue to push his agenda of higher taxes, more government spending, more regulation, and more government control over the economy. He will probably at least drop a line or two about keeping student loan interest rates low to appease and appeal to college age kids.
While all the talk about taxing the rich and/or making them pay their fair share will sound good to Marxist and socialist, it won’t help create any jobs or improve our economy. While more government investment in green energy will surely garner applause the last few years has shown that if you want to make a sure bet on a company that will fail one only need to check to see if they are getting green energy loans from the Obama administration(Solyndra, Fisker, and dozens more).
I have no doubt that part of President Obama’s plans for the future of our economy are going to include something about “carbon pollution” and the need to regulate it, which in turn means he is totally willing to help undo the industrial revolution meaning fewer jobs and a worse off economy. And it is an almost certainty that during his speech at Knox College President Obama will try to connect Obamacare with a healthy economy(which is an oxymoron).
Above all else President Obama’s speech at Knox College will be void of facts and very short on truth-telling.
With that in mind here are something that President Obama won’t say tomorrow(or any day for that matter).
1. Under his policies the number of people participating in the workforce is declining dramatically.
