KIRK VOTES WITH DEMOCRATS TO REVERSE HOBBY LOBBY DECISION

Illinois Review

WASHINGTON – Wednesday, U.S. Senator Mark Kirk, along with two other Republican senators, supported a failed Democrat-backed measure that would have maneuvered around the recent Hobby Lobby Supreme Court decision.

The act, sponsored by Senate Democrats Patty Murray of Washington and Mark Udall of Colorado would have kept for-profit businesses from dropping birth control coverage. The “Not My Bosses’ Business Act” would have clarified that no federal law allows companies to refuse follow Obamacare’s contraception mandate – even if the owners have strong religious convictions against abortifacients.

All Senate Republicans – except for Illinois’ Kirk, Alaska’s Murkowski and Maine’s Collins – voted to block the bill, keeping the legislation from advancing.

When are people going to educate themselves and when will the light bulb come on that Mark Kirk is not for us, he is a democrat that claims to be a republican a RINO. I hope people vote him out of office next election because that is where he need to be out on his (tail).

  2. Ilse says:

He has to go. As a Congressman he was one of 17 Republicans to vote with Pelosi on her ridiculous and meaningless resolution against the surge in Iraq. I vowed then never to vote for this shameless panderer again, but held my nose and did when he ran for the senate. Let’s find a candidate who will represent us, not be just out for himself!

He is indeed a great disappointment! Being from the Chgo. area I am embarrassed that BO, Durbin, Jan, Luis, and Kirk, etc. are representing my state. And with Quinn and Madigan we will be the next Detriot.
Where abouts do you live? Where you at the republican picnic last year to meet Rauner and others?
